Analytical Reflection on Indicator of Student Success

It is essential for students who aspire to be successful that they focus on themselves and     make sure their tasks are performed efficiently.

Student success is a desirable outcome if one wants to achieve something than he make an effort to achieve it.  This cannot be done without focusing on their task effectively.

Further, I also realized the significance of the Indicator of Student Success. Some of the things that I have learnt from this are explained below.

Common factors that are associated with study success embody students’ socio demographic factors, psychological feature capability, or previous tutorial performance, and individual attributes yet as course connected factors like active learning and a focus or environmental factors associated with adjunct tutorial and social embedded.

When a student obtains positive results for his or her efforts, this is referred to as student success. A student's success is assessed not only by the completion of a degree and a greater percentage, but also by high-quality learning, understanding, the values he acquires, and the development of his personality.

Hence, a number of benefits arising from learning analytics include the identification of at-risk students, the possibility of constructing adaptive support of students’ learning journeys or providing students with additional support for coping with academic requirements and expectations.

Accordingly, study success is conceptualized as the successful completion of a first degree in higher education to the largest extent, and the successful completion of individual learning tasks to the smallest extent.

However, only small-scale empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of learning analytics for supporting study success has been located as presented in a recent systematic review as well as in several other review articles.

Learning analytics is receiving exaggerated attention, partly as a result of it offers to help academic institutions in increasing student retention, up student success, and easing the burden of accountability.

Though these large-scale problems area unit deserve thought, school may also be interested in however they'll use learning analytics in their own courses to assist their students succeed.

This customized learning expertise is vital in overcoming the assumption and follow of the many course designers that learners begin the course at identical stage and proceed through it at roughly identical pace; what Siemens refers to because the “efficient learning hypothesis” (Siemens, 2010).

Institutions are also responsible for student’s success they have to make an effort. In order to do so several institutions and universities have attempted to establish some student achievement criteria.

The critical step toward promoting student success is to identify positive student outcomes that represent concrete indicators of student success. Then identify the key, research-based principles or processes that are most likely to promote student success and lead to positive student outcomes.

The students should focus on these principles, Academic achievement, personal development, self-efficacy, sense of purpose, active involvement, reflective thinking, social integration, and self-awareness.

The long-held contention among student retention scholars that “successful retention is nothing more than successful education” (Noel, 1985; Tinto, 1993).
