IS GRAMMARLY WORTH IN 2021?

Grammarly Review 2021: Comprehensive Guide & Comparison

Every publisher requires tools that reduce effort, maximize time, and improve production.

Nowadays, we all are hearing the name GRAMMARLY. Are you guys are interested to know about this amazing tool?

I am hearing a big yes, so here it is

What is Grammarly?

Grammarly is a cross-platform cloud-based writing helper founded in the United States that evaluates spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, engagement, and delivery errors. It uses artificial intelligence to identify and seek a suitable substitute for the error it discovers. Users can also adjust their style, tone, and context-specific terminology.

Alex Shevchenko, Max Lytvyn, and Dmytro Lider releases it on 1 July 2009.
Grammarly’s key features include plagiarism detection, which compares your text to over eight billion web pages; correction of over 250 types of grammatical errors; and intelligent word choice suggestions and ways to improve your writing depending on context.

Members can choose between two choices. The first choice is the free membership, which includes 150 critical grammar and spelling checks. It's a significant improvement over the old-fashioned spell checks used in document creation software, and its well worth the price.

The second choice includes the same access as the free service as well as over 100 more advanced grammar and spelling checks, word augmentation ideas, checks on genre-specific writing styles, and the killer Plagiarism detector that checks more than eight billion web pages.

What are the Features of Grammarly?

It should be mentioned that Grammarly has enhanced several of its capabilities and given the user dashboard a makeover in the last year.

This came at no further cost to users, whether they had free or premium access. Let's take a look at four different methods to use Grammarly:

The Website

Access to the Grammarly website is available for both free and premium members.

The main perk for holding a Grammarly membership is the account doubles as a remedial cloud drive. Grammarly accepts almost any document type including:

  • doc
  • docx
  • odt
  • text
  • rtf

And, Grammarly limits uploaded file size up to:

  • 4MB
  • 60 pages
  • 100,000 characters including spaces

When you have finished altering your document, you can export it to the original document type that you uploaded.

If you're correcting a larger text and want to keep the formatting, editing using Grammarly from their website can be time-consuming

The Desktop App

Is the internet a source of distraction for you? Do you need a quick way to go to your Grammarly dashboard? Then the desktop app is perfect for you!

This relatively new tool offers the same useful features that you've come to expect from Grammarly's internet version.

Simply sign in to your Grammarly account and select the Apps option from the menu on the left.

Click the Grammarly for Windows Install hyperlink under the third option. Remember that if you're a Mac user, it'll indicate Grammarly for MacOS.

Once the application file has been downloaded, double-click on the icon to install it. Grammarly will launch and lead you through a brief tutorial.

When you're finished, click the "Get Started" button.
To access your Grammarly account dashboard, you must first log in. Then you get the same wonderful features without the usual internet distractions.

Whether you visit your account via desktop or website, you will see the same documents and projects in the order you uploaded them.

The Chrome Extension

Grammarly’s Chrome extension is by far my favorite feature, and it is available to both free and paid subscribers.

You may use the Grammarly Chrome plugin to check your spelling and grammar on:

  • Gmail
  • LinkedIn
  • Tumblr
  • YouTube
  • Facebook
  • Twitter

And almost everything else you write on the internet.

The “show Definitions and Synonyms via Double Clicks (All Sites)” choice is the next option. This is a useful function to have when you don't know a word or need to switch up your word usage.

Following the switches, you can choose between writing in American English, British English, Australian English, or Canadian English.

Microsoft Word

Do you wish to be free of internet distractions? Also, do you want to maintain the formatting in your document? Then you'll appreciate Grammarly for Microsoft Office's last function.

This is by far Grammarly's greatest solution for your editing needs, and it saves a significant amount of time when importing and exporting documents via their website, desktop program, or browser plug-in.
Grammarly also recently added support for Microsoft Outlook.

I haven't used this feature because I don't use Outlook.

However, if the Grammarly for Outlook capabilities work as well as the Grammarly for Word option, you're in for a treat.

When Grammarly is turned on, it will inform you that the undo feature of CTRL and Z is not available. It's a huge bummer not to have this choice because I rely on it frequently.

But I've grown accustomed to this lack of options and am much more cautious about the Grammarly edits I make.

What are the Premium Features of Grammarly?

Grammarly premium users can choose the sort of document they are creating, which includes:

  • The common default
  • There are nine different forms of academic writing.
  • There are eight styles of business writing.
  • There are four forms of technical writing.
  • There are three categories of medical writing.
  • There are five categories of creative writing.
  • There are three forms of casual writing.

What are the Pros and Cons of Grammarly?

The following are some of the benefits of utilizing Grammarly:

  • The insane number of features.
  • Indirect use as a cloud for document storage.
  • The weekly email reports compare my writing to that of others in the industry.
  •  And the plagiarism checker, which has saved my life.

Grammarly's drawbacks are few, however they do include:

  • The lack of Mac-specific plugins for Pages or even Microsoft Word;
  • The software will occasionally randomly reset when I'm working on a large document, so if I ignore a recommendation, that alert will appear again;
  • Furthermore, the Chrome plugin is occasionally incompatible with a few websites.
